The newly created integrated core business curriculum in The Reginald F. Lewis School of Business has proven to be a success for both students and faculty. The integrated curriculum, which was launched in the fall of 2010, adopts a process approach to delivering the core undergraduate curriculum.
Virginia State University's Reginald F. Lewis School of Business made history this year by becoming the first school in the nation to deliver its integrated core curriculum in a predominantly digital format. The School found a solution to increase students' success while making their education more cost effective.
The Reginald F. Lewis School of Business’ Social Learning Communities add a new dimension to the school of business community. These communities are great places to connect with classmates, instructors, and course content.
Dominion Resources has awarded Virginia State University $50,000 to expand a digital textbook pilot project aimed at reducing costs and increasing student retention. The grant is part of more than $200,000 in grants by Dominion to colleges and community colleges in Central Virginia.
The RFLSB took the top honor at COVITS 2011 for its “Digital at the Core” Initiative and was awarded the prestigious Governor’s Technology Award for Innovation in Higher Education.
